PRE-LOVED AND HOW WE GRADE THE CONDITION OF OUR PRODUCTS
We understand that buying used equipment online can be a bit tricky. You want to touch and feel the product in question to confirm that it’s in the condition you expect, right? That is why we have created this guide regarding the state of the goods we publish in the category Pre-Loved. We are here to hold your hand and guide you thru the jungle of pre-owned products, everything to make your purchase as smooth as possible.
We have created a list with a brief description of the four grades that we at Kayakstore use to describe the condition of an item.
Like New
An item categorized as “Like new” has no or very few cosmetic defects or blemishes. If there are any cosmetic defects on the product these have likely occurred during shipping or other handling of the product, not during use.
Examples of cosmetic defects or blemishes that may occur on products graded “Like new”
- Minor scratches
- Minor factory defects
- The original packaging might be missing
Very Nice Condition
An item categorized as “Very good condition” has minor cosmetic defects and few signs of use. These products have often only been used on one prior occasion.
Examples of cosmetic defects or blemishes that may occur on products graded “Very good condition”
- Some scratches and blemishes
- Minor surface wear or color loss
Good Condition
An item categorized as “Good condition” has some cosmetic defects and signs of use. These products have been used several times but have been properly cared for to ensure function.
Examples of cosmetic defects or blemishes that may occur on products graded “Good condition”
- Scratches and scuffs after use
- Discoloration on e.g. the hull of a kayak
- Minor repairs may occur
Acceptable Condition
An item categorized as “Acceptable condition” has distinct cosmetic defects and signs of use, however, all products are fully functional.
