The increase in both speed and stability makes the Bourbon 17 truly unique . A very fast touring kayak with an aggressive expression that is mostly found in adventure and racing boats . Through the use of advanced hyrdodynamic technology, manufactured in ultra-strong HDPE, the Bourbon 17 has striking stability, maneuverability and speed.

Really good initial and final stability offers both beginners and expedition kayakers a fast-paced trip, even in difficult conditions. Heavy loads are barely felt - this is an ideal expedition kayak. Despite its long waterline that grips the sea for ultimate course stability, the Bourbon 17 has exceptional maneuverability unmatched by other sea kayaks. This through its built-in rudder. The rudder comes in handy when the wind and current are working against you. The Bourbon 17 comes fully equipped with a large oval hatch in the bow and stern as well as an easily accessible 20cm coffee hatch behind the cockpit. Point 65 GTX AIR-Backrest™ is standard where you can adjust the backrest with air pump. Adjustable rudder pedals, cup holder, thigh support and ergonomic seat with fitted soft, quick-drying seat cushion.

The cockpit is long so the paddler can perform long power-strokes through ample legroom as well as facilitate entry and exit. Also unique to the Bourbon 17 is the splash guard on top of the bow that accentuates the kayak's elegant lines and protects any compasses or GPS (recess is available for mounting the Silva compass 70P).
